"Wazoo's Castle"

We took a little family field trip to Montezuma's Castle, which is an indian ruin about 15 miles outside of Cottonwood. The dwelling was built right into the side of the sheer cliff face. It is pretty impressive. Landon had a hard time remembering the proper name, and dubbed it "Wazoo's Castle".

Auntie Erin happened to be in Cottonwood for the weekend, so we conned her into joining us.

Landon was very interested in the local fauna-lizards, squirrels, bugs and such. The actual ruin held very little interest for the lad.

Tristan and Avery desired little else other than freedom from the stroller. Snacks appeased them for a bit, but they were hardly deterred.

Family Shot.
All in all it was a fun day. The highlight for the kids was lunch at A&W afterwards, where they had their first taste of genuine A&W root beer from the tap. We tried to foster a bit of cultural awareness in our cubbies, but in the end, it was all about the soda.
All well.
