Our little princess is growing up-a bit too quickly if you ask me. That aside, we are so proud of our little four-year-old. Avery is a sweet little lady who loves everything and everyone. Her sparkly blue eyes, long eyelashes, and sweet smile make every day brighter. We are so very, very blessed to have Miss A in our family.
10 Facts About Avery
1. Avery LOVES preschool!! She attends the same preschool that Tristan did last year, Flip City Gym N' Learn. She is like a sponge, soaking up all the information she can. When questioned about her day, she actually tells us about what she learned, unlike her big brothers, who only filled us in on the snack. She already knows most of her letters by sight, and also most of their sounds. Will and I are thinking of sending her to kindergarten next year-IF Mommy can handle letting her go a year early.
2. Avery is a very good big sister. She bosses all of the boys, especially Sawyer (much to his chagrin). She wants to be a mommy when she grows up, and she is soaking up all the training she can right now.
3. Avery is very artistic. She would be perfectly happy for hours with paints, a brush, and an unlimited supply of paper. She really enjoys drawing pictures of our family, and always remembers to include the baby in Mommy's tummy.
4. Miss A is SO looking forward to our new baby's arrival. She asks almost every day if she "can be the first one to hold the baby when it comes home." Each night in her prayers she remembers to say, "And please help Momma to have her baby soon so I can see it."
5. Avery is very thoughtful. She gives out little presents, flowers and pictures to everyone. I love, love, love the wild flowers she gives me all the time.
6. Playing with friends makes Avery's world go round. She loves to go to playgroup on Wednesday with Mom and Sawyer, and makes a beeline for the nearest little girl as soon as we arrive. She is always trying to arrange play dates, and loves to tell me about her "best friends".
7. Avery is a snacker. Will and I are constantly reminding her not to sneak food in her room, and not get snacks unless she has asked first. This is a very hard thing for Miss A.
8. Avery loves to sing, and she is really quite good. She can memorize a song after listening to it only once or twice. I have been told she is one of the best singers in primary, and she was even brave enough to stand up and sing a solo a few Sundays ago. I love to sit in the car and listen to her sweet voice as she sings along to the primary song CD.
9. Avery's favorite thing to do each day is pick out her clothes. She has come up with some interesting combinations, but for the most part, she can put together a matching outfit. She does not like the process of getting her hair done, but she loves admiring the results. She already has an opinion on what I should do, and she always asks how many ponies I am putting in.
10. Miss A is full of kisses and cuddles. She plants random kisses on me throughout the day, and loves to curl up in my lap and cuddle. She sneaks her little hand in mine when we are walking, and it just makes my heart melt.
Life is a little sweeter with Avery around. She is the perfect combination of sweet and sass. We love our Miss A!
So happy, happy 4th birthday to our sweet, awesome Avery Marie!!! We are amazed each and every day at the little lady you are becoming. May this year be everything you wish for and more!
