...and baby chicks are hatching!!
Will's Uncle Phil and Aunt Peggy hatched 12 baby chicks, and invited us over to check them out. The Trezise kids were awestruck! Avery walked around and said "icken" for days afterward, and Landon and Tristan want to know when we can hatch a brood of our own.

Avery was surprisingly gentle with the tiny chicks. She did not like them to stand in their water dish, and kept pushing them out, saying "No, no."
Tristan tried hard, but was not as gentle. He wanted to hold them by the neck, because their feet were "scratchy".
Landon said that this gray one was his favorite. From what I observed, it was the fiesty one of the bunch. I am not surprised that Landon took a shine to this particular chick. :)

You KNOW what my kids do to them! However ONE day I will successfully raise chicks that lay eggs!
