"We already have one of those..."

To prepare the kids for the new baby, I have been showing them pictures from the internet of what the baby looks like each week. Avery and Tristan have been especially interested. We talk about how big it is, and how much longer is has to grow. A few days ago, I showed Avery a new picture, and she said "Ohhhh, there's our new baby 'grill'." I explained to her (again) that we don't know if the new baby will be a girl, and it might be a boy. She just stared at me for a second, and finally replied, "No. I won't love a baby brother, because we already have one of those."

Uh oh.



She's gonna kill me someday for posting this picture, but I just love it. Also, it will remind me that she never, ever puts her shoes on the right feet. Let us hope she outgrows that. Miss A brings lots of spice and sunshine to our lives. :)
