HaPpY 6th biRTdAy, LanDOn!!!

1 year and one day after Will and I were married, we welcomed Landon Russell Trezise into our family. Life has been an adventure ever since! Landon is a born leader. He is an amazing helper and a wonderful example to his younger brother and sister. Landon loves school and is a very smart young man. He is learning to read and spell, and loves math. We love having Landon in our home, and enjoy his sense of humor and zest for life.

10 Things About Landon
1. As I said before, Landon LOVES school. When he started kindergarten this year, his teacher told us he would only have homework on Fridays. As the year progressed, he started having homework almost each evening. Confused, I asked his teacher. She told me that Landon asked for extra papers to take and do at home.
2. Landon loves to play with "tiny" legos, and will spend hours, building inventions. Then he bring them to Will and I to tell us what each component does. He comes up with some pretty complicated stuff!
3. Like his Dad, Landon enjoys playing nintendo. He has been known to "pone" his Dad and Uncles, much to their seasoned-nintendo-playing surprise. His favorite game is Lego Star Wars, and he likes to bonk his fellow players and break their lego men.
4. Landon is the best big brother. He plays with Tristan and Avery, helps them get drinks and snacks, puts their shoes on, colors them pictures, helps them clean, and makes sure they stay out of trouble.
5. Landon is a Daddy's boy, big time! He idolizes Will and wants to be just like him. Their special relationship warms my heart. We all love it when Will comes home for work, but Landon's shout can always be heard a bit above the rest.

6. Landon would like to be a scientist when he grows up, although this changes depending on the day. He has also expressed an interest in becoming a fireman. Whatever he does, he will be awesome!
7. Landon (and Will) worked very hard this year learning to tie his shoes. This was not an easy task for him because it required him to slow down and take him time. It was neat watching him persevere and conquer this task.
8. He is a pretty picky eater. Most meals placed before must pass critical inspection prior to consumption. He is a pretty good sport about trying new things though, as long as there is a promised reward (in the form of a roll with jelly) afterward.
9. Landon cannot wait to grow up, much to the chagrin of this Momma. He is always asking "When Avery is 10, how old will I be?" or "When Tristan is in 4th grade, what grade will I be in?"
10. Each day, Landon teaches me a little more about being a Mom. He is growing into a wonderful young man, despite my many short-comings. I thank Heavenly Father each day for this special spirit.

So Happy Birthday, Landon!! We love you so very much and hope that this year brings you every happiness!
