DISNEYLAND!!!
Will and I could not wait to take the kiddos to Disneyland. What a magical place! We splurged and decided to stay at the Disneyland Hotel, so we could be within walking distance of our room should any of the littles (or parental units) need a nap. I wish I had taken pictures of our room, because it was awesome! Disney was in the process of revamping their hotels, and our room had just been redone. The headboard behind the beds was a carved landscape of Cinderella's castle, complete with fireworks that LIT UP! We slept with them on every night we were there. Yep, magical. The carpet was an elaborate swirl design, with Mickey faces throughout. The kids enjoyed finding Mickey in the carpet. All of the shampoo, conditioner and lotion bottles were topped with Mickey heads, and the faucet handles were also Mickey Mouse. Disney managed to make the whole thing classy and not cartoonish or overdone.
The magic kingdom was everything the kids imagined and more. Avery was so excited to see Cinderella's castle. (Tristan thought it was not the right color.) We rode several rides right off, and then headed to Pixie Hollow, a much anticipated destination for Avery (and Tristan). We waited in line for 45 minutes to see Clarence (Tinkerbell's friend) and Tinkerbell herself. Avery was over the moon.
We spent the rest of the day enjoying some wonderful family time, building priceless memories that we will cherish for years to come.
