(This posted a day late because I forgot to click post. Shoot!)
Six years ago, Heavenly Father sent a little piece of blue sunshine down to our family, and we have enjoyed Tristan ever since! T-Bird's sweet disposition was apparent from day one. He is quick to laugh, and his smiles are ever present. Our home is a little more gentle with sweet T-Bird around.
10 Things About Tristan
1. Tristan LOVES kindergarten, much to Will and I's relief.. After tears and drama nearly every day during his time in preschool, we were pleasantly surprised when he trotted off to kindergarten without a hitch. He is like a little sponge, soaking up addition problems, spanish, spelling and sight words.
2. T-Bird loves to draw. No school paper is complete until the edges and extra spaces are filled with little drawings. Our front walkway is covered with Tristan's chalk creations. Our refrigerator may collapse from the weight of his many creations. I love it!!
3. Next to coloring, Tristan loves to eat. He outeats his brothers and sister each night, and usually Will and I as well.
4. Tristan is a friend to all. Like his Dad, I have never met someone that doesn't like our Tristan. He is quite the ladies man at school, and has a gaggle of girls that follow him around the playground.
5. Tristan is really good at helping me out with his little brothers. He is so gentle and loving with them. He likes to feed Sterling his bottle, and has been chosen to sit next to him in the van so he can help keep him comfortable.
6. He loves learning to read, and searches for sight words everywhere he goes. It is so fun watching this skill emerge!
7. Surprising to all of us, our quiet T-Bird loves roller coasters and adventerous things. He rode some pretty scare rides at Disneyland this last spring, and recently climbed the tall rock wall all the way to the top at our local Rec Center.
8. He is my mess maker. Tristan can quietly total a room in a minute flat, and challenges the soap and shower each and every night with his messy person. His clothing makes our washer shudder.
9. T-Bird loves to take things apart and (luckily for us), he can usually put them back together. He always wants to know how everything works. If we can't find a screwdriver, you can bet Tristan knows were one is.
10. T-Bird enjoys singing and dancing. He can memorize the words to any song after hearing it only once or twice. He enjoys all genres of music, from county to opera to rock.
