1st Grade Show and Tell Fodder

Last Friday, Landon got permission from his teacher to bring Sawyer in for show and tell. He had been asking to take him for some time, but the germaphobe mom inside me kept obsessing over the thought of masses of germ covered 1st grade hands touching my healthy baby. I finally consented, and made arrangements with Mrs. Kuntz.
Sawyer and I signed in at the front office and received out requisite 'visitor' stickers before we headed to 1st grade. When we arrived, Landon got to carry Sawyer up to the front of his classroom and his teacher told him to tell the class three things about his baby. Landon told his class that Sawyer was 6 months old, and that he knew how to crawl and was learning to sit up. Then the class got to ask some questions about Sawyer. "What is his name?" "Where does he sleep?" and "What can he eat?" Sawyer behaved himself during the whole process, and even flashed a few of his sweet smiles. The little girls fawned over how cute he was, and the boys feigned interest, if only to stretch out Sawyers visit, and thus delay the start of workbook time. All in all, it was fun, and Sawyer came away unscathed.
