Please Do Not Laugh

Okay, I will admit that I deserve this fate, but please try to be sympathetic to my plight.
I don't like snaggle teeth. Snaggle being defined as a single tooth, without a partner. My opinion is, teeth are like missionaries. Two at a time. Period. You cut one on the bottom, and it's partner should pop up within a few days. That's the way it is. I have seen several babies with a single snaggle tooth, and have said to myself "Self, that is just plain weird looking." This very thought is the reason my fate is deserved.
Several weeks ago (7 weeks and two days ago if you are counting, and I am), at the ripe old age of 1 year, 2 weeks, Avery cut her first tooth. The bottom right tooth. And not a single chomper since. I have been doing a daily check on the progress of any additional teeth, and not a dang thing.
Until today. This morning, I discovered a small, white sliver of a tooth poking through. So I should be rejoicing, right? No more snaggle tooth, right? Wrong again!
The new toothy addition is located on top, to the left of the original, loathsome, solo tooth. So now instead of being a snaggle tooth, she has scissor teeth! I am literally shedding tears! This is what I get for being all prideful about the way my boys cut their teeth in perfect, two by two order. I know I am being punished for my pride. I am just hoping that it does not take her an additional 7 weeks to grow these offending little chomps some partners.
Speaking of, here she comes, strolling through, smiling at me-blissfully unaware of the mental anguish I am experiencing at this very moment.
