Marauders Vs. Lobos

I am a Marauder fan. Will is a Lobo fan. Lucky for us, they don't compete with each other. When we lived in Cottonwood, Will was a good sport and attended some Marauder sporting events, with minimal razzing. Now that we reside in Snowflake, I felt obliged to return the favor. So off we went, the boys in tow (in the hopes of sparking some early Lobo Loyalty), to a Lobo boys basketball game. It must be said that basketball is not may favorite sport. The only interesting part of the game to me is the last 3 minutes. So I was present for the outing, but maybe not overly enthusiastic about attending. We took our seats, and Landon (ever the enthusiast) and Tristan (following his brother's lead) began cheering with all their might. The cheerleaders were chanting "Let's go Lobos, Let' go!", and the boys picked up on this catchy phrase and began shouting along with them. The gymnasium was especially loud because Snowflake was playing St. Johns. I'm not from here, but this is apparently a huge rivalry. The chanting from the boys continued for sometime, unhindered. After a while, I noticed a lady sitting next to us, looking at my personal, little cheer section, chuckling. I focused my attention more fully on their chanting and heard...

"Let's Go, Bobos, Let's Go!"

Will was more than a little embarrassed by their faux pas, and tried to correct them. But the damage had been done. Bobo is way more fun to yell than Lobo, and look at the reaction you get when you say it! I think Will has given up the hope of fostering Lobo Loyalty in our house. I guess we bleed Marauder Red here. Poor Willy-T.

O my kids say the darndest things! I always try to remember what I laughed at before I had kids and Im thinking life was straight faced and serious before these critters came about. Pais was jumping all over on Sat yelling about how they rode in the "coboobs" part of the train...some poor old man almost wet himself enjoying the mix up.
