The Trezise kids had a blast on Halloween this year. In Snowflake, Trick-or-treating is a hard core activity. I lost count of how many kids rang the doorbell before we left to hit the streets ourselves. They continued to come late into the night, despite the fact that we turned our porch light off when we put our little goblins to bed. We were warned not to turn anyone away though, or we might wake to find the house decorated with eggs or TP. Not wanting this, we handed out candy until it was no longer requested.
Our three kids came home with quite the loot. Tristan asked to go "Trek-or-Treating" again tonight. I guess he figures it's not a bad gig-dress up, ring door bells, look cute, get candy. Landon went as "Octopus Prime" (Optimus Prime), a good guy Transformer, complete with a Transformer candy bucket. Tristan was Elmo, but refused to put the actual head part on his head, so he looked like a red, fuzzy blob. I was trying to get pictures, and he was crying because he didn't want to put the head up. As a last resort, I bribed him with a pink sucker (I know-shame, shame.) The tears miraculously stopped flowing and he looked up and meekly asked "Can I have two?" The head stayed up for the pictures and not a second longer. Avery was a cow. She would not wear anything on her head either, pink suckers or not, so I opted for two piggies-sticking straight up-as horns.
(L to R) Landon-sans mask. I have no idea why it is
missing. Too bad because it completes the ensemble.
Avery and her horns.
Tristan with the Elmo head on. Look closely and you will see tears.
He's sitting on his suckers.

Cute pics. I love the horns on Avery. You have to have a few years of pics with crying kids in costumes! We have some too!

Oh yeah- you gotta have one in tears for the pictures--or it does not count!
