This morning I was standing in the kitchen, doing the breakfast dishes. I was wearing a Mountain View Preschool t-shirt, which is the preschool Landon attended last year in Cottonwood. Landon sauntered in and asked what my shirt said, so I read it to him.
"Oh, I remember when I "goed" to that preschool, way, way back when I was 4!" (He turned 5 a mere 44 days ago.) He continued, "I had fun when I was 4 and I was a little kid. Do you remember a long, long (said emphatically), time ago when you were a little kid and you had fun, Mom?" He did not pause long enough for a reply and went on, "Right now I am 5, and next I am going to be 6. When I am 6, I will be a grown-up."
Whoa, let me just get this all straight.
A long, long time ago, Landon was 4. Now he is 5. Next year he will be a grownup at the ripe, old age of 6. I am very old, and apparently my age excludes me from having further fun.
Got it.
Here he Landon a few weeks ago, practicing to be
a grown-up with Dad. Yard work is most defiantly
a "grown-up job".

In Lando's eyes, I must be as old as dirt. Gramma Ann
LOL - get used to the old people statements. Bryan (he was 5) once asked me what it was like riding in a covered wagon.
Oh... I love that Landy Poop!! He sure is a funny little man!!
