4 Birthdays and a Happy Announcement

The Trezise family traveled to Cottonwood this weekend, reacquainting ourselves with out home away from home. Tristan had a follow-up appointment with the Ortho to make sure his innards had healed correctly. He is as good as new, and thank goodness, because he informed the Dr. (as soon as he walked in the room to see us) that he did not want another cast.
My Mom graciously offered her humble abode for us to hang our hat in during our stay, and even offered to watch all three kids Friday evening while Will and I went to a surprise for Bishop Bargar (Happy 30th Tieg!). It was great seeing all of our friends, and spending an evening sans children.

We spent part of our day on Saturday at a birthday party for the Mcfarland kids (Happy 5th, Johnny, Happy 4th Katie, and Happy 7th Little Evan). My children had a great time! Landon was glued to Johnny's side, and Tristan walked around with a pretend blow dryer the whole time. Avery found a patch of mud and promptly put a handful in her hair, destroying the piggies I had worked so hard on. Seeing that she was ruined, we allowed her to revel in her mud pile for the rest of the party, and we were able to enjoy the time with our friends without any "yarking" from her. (FYI-Yelling + Barking = Yarking-Avery's favorite form of communication. You should hear it-it is very effective.)

The best part of the weekend came Saturday evening when Heather and Preston announced that they will be welcoming a new baby Ruiz sometime in June! I am going to be an Auntie again! I have been walking on cloud nine ever since! We couldn't be happier! Expect some Proud Auntie updates in future posts. They have dubbed their little bambino "Baby O'ahu" until the sex can be determined. Like their first son, Jaxon (who was conceived in Vegas), this baby is also a "destination" baby, having come to be during a family vay kay in Hawaii. We want to wish them all the best, and cannot wait to meet the little guy (or gal)!
